MILLBURY � Albert R. Bruso, 76, died Friday, July 30th in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester with his family by side.

He leaves his loving wife of 56 years, Leona M. (Lundgren) Bruso; four children, Carol Connaughton and her husband Joe of San Diego, CA, Albert and his wife Lynn of Auburn, Robert and his wife Penelope of Auburn and Michael and Christine of South Grafton. He also leaves his grandchildren Joe Connaughton III and his wife Kelli, Stephanie, A.J., Bobby, Brian, Jennifer, Matthew and Emily. In addition to his grandchildren he leaves three great-grandchildren, Owen, Eamon and Jordan and several nieces and nephews including a special neice, Susan O'Donnell. He was predeceased by his sisters Evelyn Girourd and Lorraine Malo both of Florida.

Albert was born in Worcester and graduated from Commerce High School and Worcester Junior College where he was an outstanding baseball, football and basketball player. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 170 and worked for Henly and Lundgren for 38 years. Upon his retirement, he enjoyed many rounds of golf at area courses and shared this passion with his grandsons. He especially enjoyed spending time with family at his lakeside home.

Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 2nd in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. At the family's request, funeral services and burial will be private. Condolence book and directions are available at: www.mulhane.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that you share in their thanks to the many wonderful and caring staff members at the ICU Unit and the Dialysis Unit at Saint Vincent Hospital by making donations to: The Director of the Dialysis Unit for education purposes, Saint Vincent Hospital Dialysis Unit, 123 Summer Street Worcester, MA 01608.
