MILLBURY – Peter W. Pappas, 67, died Thursday, Feb. 4th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
Peter leaves three children, Christopher Pappas and his wife Mary Beth of Auburn, Jeffery Pappas of Fort Collins, CO and Nicole Howard and her husband Patrick of Leicester; three grandchildren, Cassidy Howard, Vanessa Pappas and Robert Howard; his mother Nellie Pappas of Worcester; his brother Glenn Pappas and his wife Margaret of Millbury; his companion, Ginny Mitchell of Millbury; nieces and nephews. He also leaves many lifelong friends. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his father, Charles Pappas and a brother, Ronald Pappas.
Peter recently retired from the Teamsters Local 170. He enjoyed Civil War history, music, friends and family. Peter's family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff on the 7th floor of the UMASS Intensive Care Unit.
Peter's funeral will be held Tuesday, Feb. 9th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Monday, Feb. 8th from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
